Wray’s path to mindfulness followed an award-winning career in journalism covering murder trials. In 2011, she was first introduced to meditation and she co-founded Mala Collective — a company rooted in supporting well-being through meditation tools and practices. Spending time spent in India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Indonesia inspired Wray to explore her meditation practice.

Now an accredited teacher, Wray has studied numerous meditation modalities, including MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) at Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) at UMass Memorial Health Center for Mindfulness, and Brown University. Committed to deepening her own practice for the betterment of self and her teachings, she continues to study at Insight Retreat Centre and the Mindfulness and Health Institute.

Working in education and corporate settings, Wray has taught at Oxford Saiid Business School in partnership with the Institute for Real Growth. A program for executives of Fortune 500 companies to incorporate purpose, values, and mindfulness in leadership, brand, and culture. Wray has created custom mindfulness programs for companies such as TED, Mondelez, Google, VaynerMedia, P&G, and Cannes Lions Festival. Working in sport, Wray has worked directly with athletes and coaches to build and deliver customized programming that utilizes mindfulness for well-being and improved performance.

Wray’s practice is rooted in mindfulness meditation, specifically Insight and Vipassana. However, her lessons are meant to provide an accessible entry point for beginners, as well as space for seasoned practitioners to deepen their practice. An adept teacher, she meets her students where they are. Whether that is a boardroom, a classroom, or on the field. Through mindfulness and meditation, Ashley has helped thousands of people around the world reconnect to themselves — empowering them to discover to their own values and purpose, while offering the tools to deeply connect to those around them.
